Thank you for your response with the current update on the issue.
I suggest you to uninstall the HP Scanjet G3010 Photo Scanner from the Device Manager and then try to reinstall the scanner driver in compatibility mode. Check if it helps.
Step 1: Try to download the Scanner driver from the HP website.
Step 2: I suggest you to uninstall the HP Scanjet G3010 Photo Scanner driver from the Device Manager.
1. Press Windows Key + R Key.
2. Then type “devmgmt.msc” without the quotes and hit on Enter Key.
3. Expand Print queues .
4. Right click on the Scanner driver and click on Uninstall.
5. Then follow the instruction to uninstall the driver.
Step 3: I recommend you to install the scanner driver in compatibility mode. Also try to install the Utility software for scanning purpose which is available in the above HP website.
1. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘Properties’'.
2. Click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8/8.1 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
